Having worked in both the administrative and information processing fields, as well as witnessing the birth of personal computers, Jeanette looked for a way to use her skills and remain productive. Several years ago, she found out about the up and coming industry of Virtual Assistants.

Jeanette decided to call her business Old Fashioned Office to preserve the life ethics she grew up with where people were proud of what they did and a promise made was a promise kept. For a time, Jeanette worked with other Virtual Assistant companies as an Independent Contractor and continued to hone her skills working with Internet Marketers.

In 2004, Jeanette went back out on her own with one other Virtual Assistant and 3 clients. In the beginning, she often wondered if this was a good decision. Due to the “old fashioned” ethics, quality of work, and referrals from these wonderful clients, the business and services offered continued to grow.

Jeanette soon realized she had to find additional experienced hands to meet the needs of her clients. Having been a single parent and not wishing to work a "9 to 5" job, she was aware there were women who either needed or wished to work from home.

While the basic skills were a requirement, knowledge particular to the clients and services provided by Old Fashioned Office could be taught. She also firmly believes that it is important to empower women in the United States to be all they desire to be.

Today, Old Fashioned Office is proud to provide the opportunity to work from home to single mothers, stay-at-home moms, and those who just prefer to work from home. This dedicated network of Independent Contractors is the main reason for the continued success of Old Fashioned Office and the many satisfied clients with whom we work.

JEANETTE BARNES, OWNER Jeanette has over 30 years in the administrative field and 4 years working with Internet Marketers. Through her connections with many of these top marketers, she is kept aware of the trends and tools that work for anyone wishing to conduct business on the Internet. Her expertise is in explaining things in laymen terms and consulting with clients to find the best tools and applications for their businesses. Jeanette lives in Tennessee with her husband, David, and their assorted critters - both domestic and wild. She loves to spend time with her son, Chris, his wife Tonya, and their daughter Sarah whenever she can travel to Baltimore.

STACY LARMORE, PROJECT MANAGER Stacy worked in both the mortgage and travel industries before deciding to become a "stay-at-home" mom. Stacy has transcribed many teleseminars and is currently managing our Transcription Team, as well as heading our Administrative Support team. Stacy lives in Ohio with her husband, Jeff, and their two children Samantha and Jake.

MARILYNN SNOOK, PROJECT MANAGER Marilynn has 25 years of experience in the administrative field and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a minor in Journalism. she previously worked at a hospital for 20 years, and has also worked in real estate abstracting, insurance, and media. She is currently a Project Manager after beginning with OFO last year doing transcriptin. Marilynn lives in Iowa with her 3 Bearded Collies Lakotah!, Cheyenne, and Raven. When not working, she spends her time with the Beardies doing herding, agility, obedience, and conformation.
